Although the concepts of PowerSystems tools had already been in process for almost two years, the organization was incorporated on August 15, 1997. The original inspiration for PowerSystems was based on over two years of research and development of the original PowerSystems PowerPlanner that made it’s debut in March of 1998 at the conference held by the National Attention Deficit Disorder Association. Since that time, this life management system has been revised consistently to meet the needs of our clients. We listen and are always looking to improve the PowerPlanner as well as our other tools. From this Power-Full beginning until today PowerSystems has consistently grown into one of the leading resources in the ADD/ADHD Community.
More recently the organization has grown from a team of two to a team of eleven today and we expect a major increase in our services over the next one to two years.
This growth of the team occurred because of the concern for the public by Twila Gates, (President/founder of PowerSystems). She considered the idea of creating a credentialing organization for ADD/ADHD coaches with other pioneers in the field. Instead, she decided to promote quality coaching by sharing her knowledge and experience with other coaches. After changing the focus of the company, she has also been working as a volunteer in the development of the Institute for the Advancement of ADD/ADHD Coaching (IAAC) since 2005. The IAAC is a non-profit organization that began offering certification starting in September 2007. Although ADD/ADHD coach certification is a dream come true for Twila, she is still firmly set in growing and further developing PowerSystems as the leading provider of high quality coaching services in the United States.
In 2007 Cathy French and Twila Gates embraced the possibilities of a partnership. On August 20, 2007 Cathy French became a part owner of the business.
Our most common service is offering ADD/ADHD coaching services to people who desire to change and better their lives, understand their condition and develop personally. PowerSystems has provided over 6000 hours of one-on-one ADD/ADHD coaching. Although this service and our clients are our highest priority, our second priority is to provide a place for quality coaches..
Our coaches are extraordinary people who are intelligent, compassionate and are energized by the prospect of assisting another human being to reach their full potential. We welcome coaches to come and do what they do best:” coach clients”. We take care of the rest... Each coach is respected and honored for their contribution to the team as a whole. We promote an environment of openness, caring, support and collaborative teamwork. As PowerSystems grows we will be certain that the level of quality is maintained by attracting great coaches/potential coaches into our Internship Program.
Our leadership team includes four people with the following backgrounds: Accountant, Business Leader, Attorney, Nurse, Strategist, Engineer. Each of these people, together with our full team, are dedicated to the success of PowerSystems and our clients.
